San Rafael Announces New Director of Economic Development, Innovation
Danielle O'Leary's starting salary will be $144,288.

- The following is an announcement from the city of San Rafael:
San Rafael, CA- Following a nationwide search, the City of San Rafael is pleased to announce Danielle O’Leary as the new Director of Economic Development and Innovation, effective July 11, 2016. O’Leary comes to San Rafael after serving as the Economic Development Manager at the City of Santa Rosa.
"Danielle will play a key role in ensuring the 21st century needs of our business community are met," said City Manager Jim Schutz. "She has an incredible track record of innovative ideas and community building. She is a great fit for San Rafael."
O’Leary brings over 15 years of local government economic development experience, serving the City of Santa Rosa, Town of Los Gatos and City of Saratoga. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in communications from Concordia University in Irvine, California.

“Throughout my career I’ve worked to curate innovative economic development,” said O’Leary. “It’s an exciting time for San Rafael right now and I greatly look forward to joining such a dynamic and forward-thinking team.”
The recruitment was conducted in-house and received 79 applications for the position from all over the United States. O’Leary’s starting salary will be $144,288.

O’Leary lives with her family in Santa Rosa with plans to soon relocate to Marin County.
