Trial for San Ramon Man Charged with Pimping Underage Girls Underway

On Monday, testimony began in the trial of San Ramon resident Duwan Fields and Claudiens Griffin of Sacramento, who allegedly pimped underage women out of a San Ramon house, the Contra Costa Times reports.

Fields, 33, is charged with two counts of pimping a minor prostitute and one count of unlawful sex with a 16-year-old. Griffin, 21, is charged with pimping a minor prostitute, pandering for prostitution, rape and lewd acts on a 13-year-old.

A Sacramento woman, who is now 20 but was 17 at the time, testified that she and two other runaways (ages 16 and 13), were told they could make money by wearing provocative clothing while getting their pictures taken or appearing on webcams. It wasn't until she was being driven to her first prostitution client, the now 20-year-old woman testified, that she "realized that we actually would be having sex with other people."
