Thanksgiving Weather Forecast

Sunshine and warm temperatures expected across Los Angeles this holiday weekend.

Thanksgiving Weather Forecast

It will be a true Southern California Thanksgiving: sunny and warm.

Morning low clouds and fog will burn off by noon, with highs in the 60s at the beaches and the lower to mid 70s inland, according to the National Weather Service.

But a high pressure system will turn up the heat on Black Friday shoppers. Temperatures are forecast to climb into the upper 70s along the coast and near 80s in downtown Los Angeles.

Fair weather will continue through the weekend, making for perfect turkey trot conditions.

There's good weather news for holiday travelers, too: much of the country will enjoy tranquil weather through Thanksgiving. The only exception is in the Pacific Northwest, the Weather Service said, where storms continue to bring wind, rain and mountain snow.

Here's the Weather Service's Thanksgiving forecast for some popular California destinations:

  • Santa Barbara: sunny, 70 degrees
  • San Diego: patchy fog, 67 degrees
  • Irvine: partly cloudy, 73 degrees
  • Big Bear Lake: sunny, 59 degrees
  • Mammoth Lakes: sunny, 51 degrees
  • Palm Springs: sunny, 80 degrees
  • Ojai: sunny, 77 degrees
