Santee Biz: Grab & Go and Mini-Mart Delis to Open, Tasty Donuts Closed

Business roundup featuring "Grab & Go- Subs, Salads, Wraps and More," One Stop Mini-Mart and Deli, some closures and In-N-Out progress.

Two new Grab & Go- Subs, Salads, Wraps and More are set to open in the near future at Trolley Square in Santee and at the intersection of Magnolia and Bradley Avenues.

The two new shops will make a total of 11 for the San Diego-based and family operated deli designed for a quick and tasty meal. The chain averages about 4 of 5 stars in their Yelp reviews.

The menus for the other locations have 24 sub sandwich choices ranging from hot pastrami to po' boy, wraps and salads, and they feature a $5 daily special for a 10 inch Italian sub.

Grab & Go made an appearance at the Holiday Lighting Celebration on Friday. They said there that the Magnolia Ave. location would be opening mid-December and the Trolley Square shop would open in January.

They'll likely be hiring soon- send them your resume at this link.

This quote from their website sums the restaurant up nicely:

The spirit of Grab & Go’s Italian roots and long-standing commitment to freshness and quality isn’t just apparent in our sandwiches. We invest the same care, creativity and inspiration into our hand-crafted, original cookies, made fresh at our bakery and delivered daily to every Grab & Go location.

This will make for two Grab & Go stores along Mission Gorge Road, the other at 6435 Mission Gorge Rd. in Grantville.

Other Santee business news:

  • Tasty Donuts recently closed in Santana Village, on Magnolia Avenue.
  • In-N-Out's trademark crossed palm trees and iconic signs were installed recently.
  • Signs recently went up announcing the opening of a One Stop Mini-Mart & Deli on Carlton Hills Boulevard, just past Mission Gorge Road, in the spot that used to house East County Kirby, next to Buckwise Pawnshop (opened Nov. 20).
  • The Coffee Brake recently changed it's name to The Lean Bean.
