Vehicle Fire Spreads To Hillside Along SR-52 Near Santee
One lane remains closed on eastbound SR-52 west of Mast Boulevard, according to Caltrans.

SANTEE, CA – Firefighters were working to extinguish a small brush fire on a hillside alongside eastbound state Route 52 near Santee.
The fire started as a vehicle fire and spread to the hillside near Mast Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol. The blaze was first reported around 1 p.m.
There were no reports of structural threats from the fire.

Authorities initially closed the right two lanes of eastbound SR-52 west of Mast Boulevard, according to Caltrans. Only one lane remained closed by 3:30 p.m.
