A fierce match on the road to London's Olympic games is pitting the U.S. Men's National Water Polo Team against the Croatian Men's National Water Polo Team on June 1 at the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center.

Fans are invited to witness the fierce rivalry at 5:30 p.m., June 1 at the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center, 360 North Arroyo Blvd., Pasadena. Following the game there will be a poolside gala dinner with both teams.

This is the final game for the U.S. Team before departing to London for the Olympics.

“We are honored to host this game and to celebrate some of our nation’s finest athletes who have made significant sacrifices and a tremendous commitment to represent the United States,” said Kurt Knop, executive director of the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center.

“We hope everyone will save the date and share in this experience as we send our athletes off with our very best wishes for the performance of a lifetime,” Knop said.

Guests can meet with athletes from both countries and team members will join fans for dinner prepared by Onil Chibas Catering, formerly Elements Kitchen of Pasadena.

This is the third time the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center has been selected to host pre-Olympic events.

In 2008, the Center hosted the Kaiser Permanente National Diving Championships as the U.S. Olympic Dive Team prepared for the competition in Beijing, China.

In 2000, the Center hosted the U.S. Olympic Swim Team as it prepared to compete in Sydney, Australia, and, in 1992, the Center hosted the Synchronized Swimming trials as our athletes prepared for the competition in Barcelona, Spain.

Tickets for the game only are $30 for adults and $25 for children or seniors. To purchase a game only ticket click here.
