3 Sonoma Businesses Cited for Serving Alcohol to Minors

Three Sonoma businesses were cited for selling alcohol to underaged decoys in a sting operation Friay.

Round Table Pizza, Hopmonk Tavern and Pizzeria Capri were cited in a sting operation conducted by the Sonoma Police Department in conjunction with the California State Alcoholic Beverage Control.

Police decoys visited various licensed establishments in the City of Sonoma and surrounding Sonoma Valley area, according to a news release from the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office.

The employees were criminally cited for furnishing alcohol to minors and the businesses are being referred to the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control for administrative license violations.

This project is part of the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control's Minor Decoy / Shoulder Tap Grant Project, funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
