Man Found Dead In Overturned Car Off Lovall Valley Road Identified

SONOMA COUNTY, CA – The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office has identified a man who was found dead in a vehicle in a ravine east of Sonoma on Tuesday as 72-year-old Rolf Olness.
Olness, a Sonoma resident, was driving a 2010 Toyota 4Runner west on a private driveway west of Lovall Valley Road in unincorporated Sonoma County when the SUV went off the left side of the road and into a ravine, California Highway Patrol Officer Marc Renspurger said.
Olness, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Toyota sustained major rollover damage.
Family members found Olness in the Toyota and the CHP responded around 12:30 p.m.
