1. Farmers Market

The weekly  South Pasadena Farmers Market will be held today, Thursday, Jan. 16, at and around the intersection of El Centro Street and Meridian from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. From fresh produce and flowers to food and entertainment, it’s the perfect way to kick start the weekend. 

2. Cultural Heritage Commission meeting

Mark your calendars: South Pasadena Cultural Heritage Commission is scheduled to meet today, Thursday, Jan. 16, starting at 6:45 p.m. in the Amedee O. “Dick” Richards, Jr., City Council Chambers at  South Pasadena City Hall, 1424 Mission St., (626) 403-7228.  Click here to view the meeting’s agenda.

3. Duffy Hudson perform as George Burns and Edgar Allan Poe

Mark your calendars: Actor Duffy Hudson is scheduled to perform as the celebrated American comedian, actor and writer George Burns on Thursday, Jan. 16 at the South Pasadena Library Community Room located at 1115 El Centro St. The show will start at 7 p.m. following a brief annual meeting of the Friends of the South Pasadena Library. On Sunday, Jan. 19, Duffy will impersonate the renowned American poet Edgar Allan Poe in celebration of Poe’s 205th birthday. The show will also take place in the library's community room starting at 7 p.m. Both events are free of cost and open to the public.  Click here to read more.
