Police Blotter: Burglaries, Blowtorch, Slashed Tires

A roundup of recent crime in South San Francisco. The following information was supplied by the SSF Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Police Blotter: Burglaries, Blowtorch, Slashed Tires

Thurs., Sept. 13

11:05 a.m., Westborough Middle School on Westborough Bl., there was a report that a family is in the office was getting "antsy" and wants to speak to an officer about threats their son received.

2:29 p.m., Baden Ave, Alta Loma school, inside attendence office a student stated that when he got suspended for 5 days, his dad choked him

4:29 p.m., Air Surf on Gateway Bl., A business was broken into sometime this morning; so far laptop and keys taken. 

10:07 p.m., Second Ln, 2 rabbits were reported running loose in the street.

Wed., Sept. 12.

12:30 a.m., Grand Ave, Tires of a car were slashed. A suspect was reportedly seen in a white Mercedes with big rims.

7:34 a.m., Genentech Bldg 83 on Gateway Blvd., someone reported that their wallet was stolen from a computer bag in the office.  

9:04 a.m., El Camino Real Hy, a burglary was interrupted when the respondent saw two people inside his car. The respondent banged on the window and they took off on foot.

9:51 a.m., Walnut Ave, a property manager reported that someone took blow torch to the coin boxes on a washing machine; no money was taken.  

11:46 a.m., Costco Wholesale on El Camino Real Hy., a female filled a bag of items and then got stopped at the door. She dropped the bag and took off on foot.

4:16 p.m., Carnelian Rd between 900 and 1500, someone reported that their front door had been kicked in. A laptop and Xbox were missing and the house was ransacked.

5:23 p.m., Greendale Drive/Bettman Wy, someone reported a loose gray pit bull.
