Truck Plows Into Paint Store On Van Nuys Boulevard

The driver of a utility truck is in serious condition after driving into a commercial paint store on Van Nuys Boulevard.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A 55-year-old man suffered serious injuries when his utility truck plowed into a paint store on Van Nuys Boulevard Monday,

The driver had to be freed from the truck and rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, but no one else was injured in the crash, according to Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department. No other injuries have been reported.

The crash happened at 2:55 p.m. on the 6000 block of Van Nuys Boulevard. The driver lost control of the vehicle plowing through a commercial paint store's front doors and cinderblock walls.

The crash threatened the structural integrity of the building according to fire officials.
