One-Alarm Fire Erupts In Fairfield
The fire was first reported by a passer-by at 11:13 p.m. Saturday.

FAIRFIELD, CA -- Fairfield Fire Department crews contained a one-alarm fire at a single-family residence late Saturday night, fire officials said. The fire was first reported by a passer-by at 11:13 p.m. Saturday at a residence in the 800 block of Illinois Street, Battalion Chief Andy Cranston said.
When crews arrived, Cranston said fire was coming out from the front door of the home.
Crews were able to contain the fire at 11:36 p.m., Cranston said.

The home had been vacant for around three weeks, according to Cranston, and no firefighters were injured in the blaze.
Cranston estimated the damage to the home at $100,000.
