Suisun City Motorcyclist Involved In Sonoma County Wreck

Information from CHP:

On June 10, 2012, at approximately 10:30 a.m., 51-year-old Frank Ernest Wags of Suisun City, was riding his 2011 Ducati 1100 motorcycle, northbound on SR-1, 1.3 miles north of Cypress Road.  As Wags approached a descending right curve in the roadway, he locked up his brakes and slid from the northbound lane into the southbound lane of SR-1. As Wags slid into the southbound lane, the left front side of his motorcycle collided with the left front side of 1999 Subaru Outback that was being driven southbound at approximately 25 miles per hour by 38-year-old Christopher Pincetich of Pt. Reyes Station.  Wags was ejected from his motorcycle and came to rest on his back approximately 20 feet north of the Ducati.

The roadway was closed for approximately 30 minutes while medics attended to Wags, who was unable to move out of the roadway.

Wags was transported to Marin General Hospital by Marin County Fire Paramedic for a broken right wrist and a compression fracture to his lower back.  There were approximately 150 feet of tire friction marks left by the Ducati as it attempted to slow itself coming into the curve on SR-1.

Wags injuries were not considered life threatening.

Intoxication is not suspected as a factor in the collision.
