America's Hottest Husband, Jesus vs. School Policy, Mission Fire

America's hottest husband lives in—Palm Desert?

That's right. And we ain't talking temperature hot. We're talking HOT hot.

Palm Desert resident Tom Rice, 48, was voted the winner out of 25 finalists chosen from among more than 1,500 submissions to Redbook magazine's 2014 "Hottest Husband" contest, reports Palm Desert Patch.

"This year's Hottest Husband in America looks suspiciously like Grayson from Cougar Town. Coincidence? We think not!" crows the magazine's Facebook post.

Rice, a contractor who runs Rice Construction in Palm Desert, is taking it in stride.

"I went to Indio High School and grew up in Palm Desert, and it's fun to to represent Palm Desert and the whole Coachella Valley. I love the desert and I grew up here. I have all my guys who work for me and of course they're having a field day with this."
