A plan that calls for building at least 2,000 dwellings -- including apartments, stacked condominiums, townhomes, triplexes and single-family homes -- is being proposed for vacant land west of the 15 Freeway near Rancho California Road in Temecula, The Press-Enterprise is reporting.
The mostly undeveloped 270 acres nestled in hillside southwest of Old Town has been been purchased by Ambient Communities, the news agency reported. It is near the site of the
highly contested Liberty Quarry proposal,
according to The Press-Enterprise.
A portion of the property is being set aside for public use,
according to the report.
