Woman Allegedly High On Pot Crashes On 15 Freeway In Temecula

Stephanie Daniels, 19, of San Diego has been placed under arrest, according to CHP spokesman Nathan Baer.

A San Diego woman was allegedly high on marijuana when she crashed on the I-15 in Temecula shortly after 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Stephanie Daniels, 19, was driving in the northbound fast lane at about 70 mph in a 2006 Gray Chrysler 300, just north of Winchester Road, when she drifted toward the center of the freeway, crashed into the center median wall and overturned, according to California Highway Patrol spokesman Nathan Baer.

“The vehicle overturned on the center median wall and the roof … was torn off,” Baer explained.

Daniels claimed she was not injured but was transported to Inland Valley Medical Center for “precautionary purposes,” Baer said.

“She was placed under arrest by Officer M. McCracken for driving under the influence of a drug,” Baer continued. “The suspected drug is marijuana."

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and there were no reported injuries.
