Microsoft Moves to Venice

Another tech company moves to Silicon Beach.

Microsoft has moved to the former Charles and Ray Eames Office Building where it will hold private conferences to showcase the company’s newest products.

Although the building is not a retail store, the public will be allowed access by invitation, but details are not yet available, according to Krista Foxwell, senior account executive at Waggener Edstrom Worldwide, Microsoft’s public relations agency.

“Microsoft is delighted to confirm that we are leasing space in Venice. We cannot wait to learn more about this unique community and get to know our new neighbors better,” Craig Beilinson, director of consumer communications, said in a statement.

Microsoft moved into the space, located at 901 Abbot Kinney Blvd., in October and the new company space is part of the “Microsoft Experience” where people can “engage and collaborate” with Microsoft, according to Foxwell.
