Computer virus. A caller phoned 911 at 7 a.m. concerned that the FBI was investigating her after a FBI logo appeared on her computer screen. Turns out her computer had a virus and needed to be fixed, according to Walnut Creek police reports.
Smile and say busted! A Marriott employee allegedly stole a guest’s iPhone. That's what the video surveillance showed.
Heads up, folks! More bicycles are being stolen downtown, especially at the library on Broadway.
Expensive razors. A grab ‘n’ run occurred at Broadway Plaza at 9:10 p.m. Four unknown subjects grabbed two straight razors valued at $510 and fled on foot.
Tuesday, August 7
Heather Farm bust.
Bullet find. A resident on Saklan Indian Drive reported finding .38 caliber bullets in his front yard. The WCPD picked them up for destruction.
Wednesday, August 8
Closing time fight. A group of 15 people were allegedly involved with a fight at Masses around closing time. The group went their separate ways and got home safely.
Bike statistics. Two Trek hybrid bikes were stolen between 12:30p.m. and 5:00 p.m. There was a second report that two more bikes were stolen on Tuesday at the same location. Twenty-three bikes have been stolen in 24 months from the library!
Targeted car break-in. Another break-in to a car that was parked at Target. A laptop was stolen from a Suburban that was parked near the Garden Center around 2 p.m. Take your valuables with you, folks!

Honker! Dear driver of the silver VW Jetta — why were you honking and allegedly running people off Walnut Avenue and Ygnacio Valley Road this morning? Please relax while driving. Thanks.
Purse pilfered. Sasa reported that an unknown female in a red sweater dress allegedly stole a customer’s purse that was hanging off the back of a chair at 2:07 p.m.
