Some of the items on the Walnut Creek Police Department logs from Jan. 18 to Jan. 21.

Saturday, Jan. 18

DUI arrest: A 30-year-old man was arrested at 3:08 a.m. for driving under the influence at Walnut Avenue and Ygnacio Valley Road.

Theft at Apple: Officers were notified at 2:34 p.m. that a man in a camouflage jacket had stolen a $100 external battery from the Apple store downtown.

Auto theft: Police were informed at 3:53 p.m. that a brown Nissan Maxima had been stolen overnight from the 600 block of Via Appia.

Another auto theft: Officers were informed at 6:35 p.m. that a gray Range Rover with the keys left in the ignition had been stolen from the 600 block of Whippoorwill Court. The car owner's wallet was also inside the vehicle.

DUI arrest: A 52-year-old woman was arrested at 9:45 p.m. for driving under the influence in the 500 block of Lawrence Way.

Sunday, Jan. 19

Loud party: Officers were dispatched at 12:06 a.m. for a report of a loud party in the 1000 block of Lamour Lane. The homeowner agreed to turn down the music.

Bar assault: Two 24-year-old men and a 23-year-old man were arrested 12:36 a.m. outside of Crogan's on assault charges.

Theft at gym: Police were informed at 9:57 a.m. that a backpack with a wallet, keys and clothes had been stolen from the women's locker room at a gym in the 2000 block of North Main Street.

Auto burglary: Officers were notified at 3:00 p.m. that a window had been smashed on a silver Ford Escape in the 3800 block of Valley Vista Road. A wallet was stolen from inside the vehicle.

Family assault: A 15-year-old boy called police at 3:03 p.m. to report his 16-year-old sister had been assaulted by their parents at their home in the 1800 block of Castle Gate Road. The juveniles were taken from the home.

Thief with a dagger: A 31-year-old woman was arrested at 4:45 p.m. for stealing a sweatshirt from a store on the 2500 block of North Main Street and for possessing a concealed dagger.

Auto burglary: Officers were notified at 11:12 p.m. that a window had been smashed on a Honda Civic in the 300 block of North San Carlos Drive. A backpack with clothing was taken.

Monday, Jan. 20

$30,000 auto burglary: Police were informed at 6:11 a.m. that a window had been smashed on a white Ford F350 truck in the 2700 block of North Main Street. A vibration data collector worth $30,000 was stolen.

Another auto burglary: Officers were notified at 6:49 a.m. that a window had been smashed on a gold Mini-Cooper in the 2800 block of North Main Street. A purse, iPhone, Samsung 3 and wallet were stolen.

Copper theft: Police were notified at 2:17 p.m. that 12 copper caps were stolen from water pipes inside a building in the 1800 block of Alma Avenue.

Drinking wine while driving: A 45-year-old woman was arrested at 6:56 p.m. for driving with an open container in the car at Ygnacio Valley Road and Bancroft Road. Witnesses said they saw the woman drinking from a wine bottle while driving. Police report it was her second DUI arrest in the past seven months.

Tuesday, Jan. 21

Auto burglary: Police were informed at 12:11 a.m. that a black 2003 GMC Yukon was broken into in the 1800 block of Trinity Avenue. The steering column and stereo were stolen.

Another auto burglary: Officers were notified at 8:40 a.m. that a window had been smashed on a black GMC Terrain. A briefcase with a Toshiba laptop was taken.

Garage burglary: Police were notified at 1:10 p.m. that someone had kicked in the door to a garage of a home in the 500 block of Banyan Circle. Some tools and beer were stolen.

Gas grabber: Officers were informed at 3:09 p.m. that a woman who had been helping another driver put gasoline into their car used the pump to fill up the tank of her car.

Stolen car: Police were informed at 5:09 p.m. that a 1996 green Honda had been stolen from the 1800 block of North Main Street.

Another car theft: Officers were notified at 6:12 p.m. that a 1994 beige Honda Accord had been stolen from the 300 block of North Civic Drive.
