Brusher At Hecker Pass Blamed On Vehicle Fire

HECKER PASS, CA — A brush fire that broke out northeast of Watsonville Sunday was due to a vehicle fire, according to Cal Fire.

The agency reported the blaze at Hecker Pass via Twitter around 3 p.m. Sunday. When crews arrived, they found a fully involved vehicle fire that had spread into vegetation.

The blaze was reported fully contained by 5 p.m. There were no reported injuries.

Crews remained on scene for several hours.
