Amanda Bynes Charged With Driving on Suspended License

Legal woes continue for the actress, who hit a sheriff's patrol car in West Hollywood back in April while allegedly driving under the influence.

Amanda Bynes Charged With Driving on Suspended License

Actress Amanda Bynes—who pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor DUI charge after driving into a Weho patrol car in April—was charged Friday with two misdemeanor counts of operating a vehicle on a suspended drivers license.

The charges filed by the Burbank City Attorney's Office stem from a traffic stop Sunday near the main entrance to Bob Hope Airport, in which her vehicle was impounded. She is scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 16 in Burbank Superior Court, according to Senior Assistant City Attorney Denny Wei of the Burbank City Attorney's Office.

Bynes' driving privileges were suspended as a result of a DUI charge and two hit-and-run counts. She is set to be arraigned next Thursday on the two misdemeanor hit-and-run charges, which involve separate crashes in April and August, and is awaiting a pretrial hearing Oct. 29 on the misdemeanor DUI case stemming from her April 6 arrest in West Hollywood when her black BMW hit a sheriff's patrol car at the intersection of Robertson and Santa Monica boulevards.

The 26-year-old actress is best known for her roles on Nickelodeon's All That and The Amanda Show, and films such as Hairspray, What a Girl Wants and She's the Man.
