D.A. Charges Octomom With Welfare Fraud
Nadya Suleman, who gained fame when she gave birth to octuplets in 2009, is due in court in Los Angeles later this week on a welfare fraud charge for allegedly failing to report nearly $30,000 in earnings from personal appearances and video residuals, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced Monday.

The 38-year-old mother of 14, whose real name is Natalie Denise Suleman, was charged Jan. 6 with one count of aid by misrepresentation and two counts of perjury by false application by aid.

PATCH ASKS: Moms—and everyone else—if you had 14 mouths to feed, would you risk fraud charges to provide for your children? If not, what would you do in Suleman's case? What advice do you have for her? Tell us in the comments section.
