Sunday's Scoop: Five Places to Go for Mother's Day

Greetings and welcome to City Scoop. Today is Sunday, May 13, the 134th day of 2012. Today is also Mother’s Day. In honor of mom, here are five places in West Hollywood to take her for Mother’s Day.

Momma will be on hand as hostess to make sure your mama is entertained on Mother’s Day. In addition to Momma, expect to see lots of other drag queens and their drag children around, plus mothers get free mimosas with their entrees all day long.

The Mother’s Day menu here includes crab cakes Benedict and mimosas or tostadas and margaritas all day long, plus prime rib after 5 p.m. In addition, there’s live entertainment at 2 and 8 p.m. Plus during the afternoon, the shops in the French Market will all have Mother’s Day specials including Tarot Card and palm readings and a demonstration of anti-aging lipstick and make-up.

Mother’s Day Bruch consists of a mimosa bar or aguas frescas, French toast, omelet bar, ribeye steak carving station or smoked salmon, plus Fonuts (baked donuts) for desert. Brunch runs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This trendy favorite is serving brunch and introducing a new spring/summer menu that includes prosciutto Benedict and crab cakes Benedict. Plus bottomless mimosas are on the menu.

If mom wants to get some old fashioned gospel music with her meal, the Gospel Brunch is the place to be. House of Blues is famous for its massive spread of food plus some amazing gospel singers who’ll have you shaking your hips and clapping your hands together.
