As reported early this month, six Los Angeles City Council candidates running for the Council District Three seat will participate in a town hall in Woodland Hills Wednesday.
Candidates expected to participate in the town hall are business owner Elizabeth Badger, Assemblyman Bob Blumenfield, business owner Cary Iaccino, attorney Joyce Pearson, city personnel deparartment investigator Steven Presberg and commercial real estate broker Scott Silverstein. Silverstein also serves as chairperson of the Woodland Hills-Warner Center Neighborhood Council.
The primary election will take place March 5, with the general election on May 21 if no candidate gets more than 50 percent of the vote.
The town hall—which is presented by the Woodland Hills-Tarzana Chamber of Commerce—is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 30 at the Westfield Promenade shopping center in a vacant retail space formerly occupied by Dick's Sporting Goods, which was located at 6100 Topanga Canyon Blvd., Suite 1300.
Council District Three incorporates Woodland Hills, Tarzana, Canoga Park, Reseda and Winnetka and is currently served by Dennis Zine.
