Lakewood Police Investigating After Body Found In Big Soda Lake
A family was kayaking when they found a body floating in the water, Lakewood police said.
LAKEWOOD, CO — The Lakewood Police Department is conducting a death investigation after a body was found Wednesday in Bear Creek Lake Park. A family was kayaking on Big Soda Lake when they found the body floating in the water, police said.
Police officers and the West Metro Fire Dive Team responded at about 7:20 a.m. and found a man's body in the lake. The body had no signs of obvious trauma at the time, police said.
Police have not released the man's identity.

Park rangers found a small boat capsized in the lake Tuesday evening, police said. The rangers searched the area but didn't see anyone near the boat, and no vehicles were found in the area, authorities said.
