Berlin 173, NW Catholic 197

The Berlin Girl's golf team moved its regular season record to 8-0 with a 178 to 197 victory over Northwest Catholic Thursday at Timberlin Golf Course. It was Northwest Catholic's first loss of the year. Their record is now 7-1.

Julia Kemmling from Berlin and Sadie Martinez from Northwest tied for Medalist honors, both posting  well played 42s. Rounding out the Berlin scoring were Emily Stickel and Victoria Fagan, both shot 45 and Ashley D'Attilio who added a 46.

"I know the girls were disappointed in their scores today, particularly after yesterday's team total of 163," Berlin coach Jim Barnes said. "It's very difficult to play great one day and come back the very next day and do the same. The 178 is not a bad score, it just seems like it after what we did against Conard on Wednesday. We'll be fine. Next weeks schedule is light, only Wethersfield on Wednesday, so we will have plenty of time to practice and get back into the groove."
