St. Mary School Welcomes New Principal

Proven Leader takes Helm at St. Mary School

On July 1, 2015, Mr. Greg Viceroy began his tenure as the 7th Principal of St. Mary School. Mr. Viceroy comes to St. Mary with a proven track record in school leadership. He served as Assistant Principal, and then Principal, of St. Barnabas Elementary School in the Bronx. His teaching experience spans both elementary and high school classrooms, in subjects ranging from social studies, economics and finance, to music theory and global studies. Mr. Viceroy holds an advanced degree in School Building Leadership. In meeting with the Principal Selection Committee, Mr. Viceroy spoke of finding a new place that he could call “home”. He is a married father with 2 children, ages 3 and 6, and enjoys music and sports in his spare time.

Mr. Viceroy worked diligently over the summer to ensure a smooth start to the school year. He welcomed 31 new students to St. Mary School, a 30 percent increase over the prior year. His visions for the school include adding many after-school enrichment programs and expanding the Pre-School Program, while maintaining the high academic standards and faith-filled environment for which St. Mary School has always been known.

On behalf of the faculty, staff, students, and parents, St. Mary School is thrilled to say “Welcome Home” Mr. Viceroy!
