U.K. Gourmet Says Goodbye to Newtown, Hello to Bethel in New, Bigger Store
The new store will be located in Stony Hill, just a half mile down the road from their former Newtown location, and will open on Tuesday.
BETHEL, CT — Another "new" store will soon open in Bethel, however they are not that new. Just across the Bethel/Newtown town line, Lisa Whitmore has owned and operated U.K. Gourmet for the last 13 years and now they're gearing up for their big move on May 3, 2016.
The store will be located in Stony Hill, just a half mile down the road starting on Tuesday in Redwood Plaza, 78 Stony Hill Rd, Bethel.
Whitmore said, "We have loved being in Newtown for the last 13 years and are so sad to leave a plaza full of amazing people and good friends. Thank you to everyone for all your support and love over the last decade. We hope to enjoy our new home in Bethel as we have in Newtown. A new place that gives you a roomier place to shop and we know you will help us make it home."
Whitmore said she is excited to open in her bigger location and is prepared for Mother's Day on Sunday.
"Tuesday we will be open at our new bigger store from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. With Mother's Day only 7 days away we have everything your Mum needs and more to make her day as relaxing and chocolate-filled as possible. And yes we make gift baskets too!"
The new phone number for the Bethel Store is 203-628-7462, however, the phone won't be active until Tuesday.
