Scribner Favored to Win Reelection to 107th District

Incumbent state rep. wins Brookfield — the majority of the district — handily.

Scribner Favored to Win Reelection to 107th District

Updated 12 a.m. Nov. 7:

Republican State Rep. David Scribner defeated challenger David Stevenson (Working Families Party) in the 107th District race in Brookfield by a margin of nearly 5,600 votes, 6,448-858.

Results from Bethel and Danbury voters were not readily available Tuesday night, however those sections make up a small portion of the district.

Original Story

Incumbent State Rep. David Scribner (R-107) received the endorsement of Brookfield, Bethel and Danbury Republicans in the August primary after Brookfield Board of Education member Harry Shaker was nominated at the party caucus.

The 107th District Democratic Caucus failed to nominate a candidate for the seat, however Bethel resident David Stevenson is running on the Working Families Party. Stevenson lost his last two attempts for the 107th — 2008 and 2010 — running with Democratic and Working Families endorsements.
