Four-Day Four Corners Charrette Begins [Video]

Three more days to provide your input on the future of Four Corners.

The four-day charrette on the future of the Town Center District (TCD), the area of town best known as Four Corners, began Monday night with a presentation from and planners from 4ward Planning, the groups for the depressed former commercial center.

On Monday, the firms plotted out a course of action for the next few days, weeks and months, finishing with a visual preference survey and group sessions where residents identified what they like and dislike about the current Four Corners.

The charrette continues Tuesday at the , with focus group sessions from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on transportation, community character and “economy of the future,” in that order, and concluding with an evening open house from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Wednesday will be an all-day open house, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a roundtable discussion with the Steering Committee from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The charrette wraps up Thursday night with an open house workshop starting at 6:30 p.m., followed by a presentation of the preliminary draft Four Corner concept plan.
