Thanksgiving DUI Checkpoint Announced in Cheshire: Police

Cheshire Police have scheduled a DUI checkpoint along with roving patrols throughout the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

CHESHIRE, CT — The Cheshire Police Department announces it will conduct a DUI Sobriety Checkpoint over the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.

The checkpoint is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 23 from 6 p.m. until 2 a.m, according to Lt. Jeffrey Sutherland.

The checkpoint will be located on South Main Street in the area of King Road. It is anticipated that a secondary location of Highland Avenue in the area of Weeks Road will be utilized during the second half of the checkpoint, Sutherland said in a statement.

In addition to the DUI Sobriety Checkpoint, there will be additional DUI Enforcement roving patrols scheduled for the holiday weekend.
