Truck Fire Extinguished In Cheshire
Crews extinguished a truck fire that spread to two other tractor-trailer cabs over the weekend in Cheshire, according to officials.
CHESHIRE, CT — Crews extinguished a truck fire that spread to two other tractor-trailer cabs over the weekend in Cheshire, according to officials.
Cheshire firefighters responded to Schoolhouse Road around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday on the report of a truck fire. The first-arriving crew reported two tractor-trailer cabs fully involved in fire with a third starting to burn.
“Crews deployed two hand lines to extinguish the fire,” officials wrote in a post on Facebook. “The fire was under control in about 30 minutes. Three engines and approximately 12 firefighters were on scene.”

Officials said representatives from the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection also responded for the oil and other fluids that leaked from the trucks due to the fire.
The cause of the fire was being investigated by the fire marshal’s office.
