Danbury FD Battles Large Vehicle Fire in Trader Joe's Lot

DANBURY, CT — A van became engulfed in flames in a Danbury grocery store parking lot on Saturday.

Danbury firefighters responded to report of a vehicle fire in the Trader Joe's parking lot at around 12:30 on Saturday afternoon. First responders on the scene found a van completely engulfed in flames on the side of the building.

Crews extended a line and rapidly extinguished the blaze, but not before the fire had spread to some adjacent cars.

The Danbury Fire Marshal's Office was called in to investigate the cause, which has yet to be determined.
