Danbury Man Sexually Abused 8-Year-Old: Cops

A Danbury man accused of sexually abusing an 8-year-old girl was arrested on Friday.

According to police, the Special Victims Unit started an investigation into the alleged abuse on Dec. 6. As a result of the investigation, police obtained an arrest warrant for Carl Alcala, 58, of Danbury.

Alcala was taken into custody at his residence and charged with three counts of first-degree sexual assault of a victim under 13-years-old and three counts of risk of injury to a minor.

He was given a court set cash bond of $75,000.
