Danbury, New Fairfield, Fire Crews Battle Blazing Car Fire
The Danbury Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire, which is still undetermined.
DANBURY, CT — Firefighting crews from Danbury and New Fairfield tackled a blazing, fully-involved car fire late Tuesday afternoon on Ball Pond Road in front of Taormina Restaurant .
First responders from Danbury's Engine 25 came upon the fire around 4 p.m., and were quickly able to extinguish it with the assistance of Ball Pond Volunteer Company out of New Fairfield.
The car's occupant escaped unharmed, the Danbury FD reported on social media.

Firefighters also called in assistance from the State Department of Energy and Environmental Protection to handle the fluids that expelled from the vehicle and the runoff from extinguishing the blaze.
