Firefighters Battle Snow Plow Blaze on I-84: Danbury FD

DANBURY, CT — Firefighters responded to a plow truck fire on Interstate 84 Sunday morning.

When first responders arrived on the scene at 7:15 a.m. on I-84 between exits 8 and 9 eastbound they found a full-size International Harvester commercial plow truck fully engulfed in flames.

Fire crews from Engines 22 and 24; Rescue 1; Tanker 11 and Car 30 managed the blaze while state police and state Department of Transportation officials provided traffic control and protection.

No information regarding injuries or the status of the driver has been released.
