Depotfest 2015 Features 4 Local Bands!
This student-run music festival at The Depot starts at 5:30, March 28 @ the Depot!
On Saturday night, March 28, four local teen bands and a half-dozen singer-songwriters will play on alternating stages at the Darien Depot for “Depotfest 2015.” The event starts at 5:30, and door admission is $10. The event is aimed at middle school and high school students.
Three of the bands are home-grown in Darien. “Prof. Hill” is a punk band, featuring Middlesex 8th graders Grady Allen and Lantz Riggio as well as Greenwich brothers Trey and Gage Nettles. “The Verticals” are an alternative rock band, featuring DHS rockers James Hilton, Jimmy Conroy and others. These Darien bands are excited to be joined by “The Foresters,” a group with a huge fan-base throughout Connecticut. A brand-new Darien band “Consensus” will also play.
“There is so much talent right here in this town” says Grady Allen, who organized the event. “Everyone thinks of ‘lacrosse’ when they think of Darien, but Moby is from Darien, too.”
