“We have been big fans of the Venture Yoga team since they opened and are very pleased to welcome them to the Kaia Yoga family,” said Gina Norman, Kaia Yoga co-founder.

“Under the direction of founder Erin Huot, Venture has grown to become a well-respected and important resource for wellness in Darien. We are committed to helping build on the incredible work they have done and look forward to bringing new types of yoga classes and wellness services to the Darien community.”

Located in downtown Darien near the Metro North station, the modern studio includes a state-of-the-art system dedicated to hot vinyasa. One of the first new classes that Kaia Yoga will bring to Darien is a traditional Ashtanga Yoga Mysore Program, which will be taught by Kaia Yoga co-founder Stan Woodman.

Mysore-style yoga is a traditional practice where student’s progress through a series of postures performed to the rhythm of one’s natural breathing. This daily afternoon class starts Jan. 2 and is open to all abilities and is free for youth 12-19 years of age. The Mysore will be on Mondays through Thursdays from 3 to 5:30 p.m. and Fridays will be the Led Primary Series from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

“One of the exciting things about having studios based across Fairfield County is that we can offer a wide range of class times, style of yoga, teacher trainings, and specialty workshops to each town,” said Woodman.
