A Table for Their Toils

Durham resident Noah Ventola recently donated an 'environmentally friendly' table to Wesleyan University's student-farmers, who sell their organic produce at Middletown's North End Farmers' Market every Friday.

A Table for Their Toils

Noah Ventola was selling his handcrafted birdhouses at Middletown's North End Farmers' Market earlier this month when he happened to meet a group of student-farmers from Wesleyan University.

Ventola, a Durham resident, offered to build the farmers a table to display their organic produce grown at the school's Long Lane Farm.

The table — made from old growth pine and repurposed from a mill in Oxford — was delivered this week.

Check back with Patch next week for a story about  Ventola's new business: Ultimate Kids! You can read more about Wesleyan's Long Lane Farm here.
