DUI Checkpoint in Middlefield Tonight

State Police will utilize the B.A.T. Mobile on Saturday to stop drunk drivers along Route 66.

DUI Checkpoint in Middlefield Tonight

 

State Police will be looking for drunk drivers tonight in Middlefield.

Police have announced plans to set up a DUI sobriety checkpoint along Route 66, near Jackson Hill Road, using the Breath Alcohol Testing Mobile Unit, or BAT Moble.

In addition, police will conduct roving patrols in an effort to crack down on sealtbelt violators, aggressive motorists and distracted drivers over the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend.

Connecticut State Police have already made 32 DUI arrests since midnight on Wednesday and issued nearly 900 speeding tickets.

Police have responded to 25 accidents, none fatal.
