Don't be surprised if apples, or apple products like apple cider, cost you more this summer.

The flux of hot and cold temperatures this spring played havoc on the apple crop in the northeast, according to John Lyman III, executive vice president of Lyman Orchards.

Lyman spoke to NBC Connecticut about the impact mother nature has had on his crops in Middlefield.
