East Haven To Address Cosey Beach Parking Concerns

Out-of-towners park on side streets because there is no charge to use the beach.

East Haven To Address Cosey Beach Parking Concerns

The East Haven Board of Police Commissioners has agreed to form a new subcommittee to look at parking problems at Cosey Beach that have irked residents for some time, the New Haven Register reports.

The committee may end up placing street signs near the beach letting people know parking is illegal. The biggest issue is East Haven is the only New Haven County community that doesn’t charge for use of its beach so out-of-towners flock to it, Evan Lips reports.

At a meeting last week, more than than 35 residents attended demanding action be taken concerning beach parking.
