Tenant for Former Connecticut Food Bank Location in East Haven Announced

Connecticut Food Bank left the building in late 2015.

Servpro, a franchisor of fire and water cleanup and restoration services, will soon be opening a business in East Haven at the former Connecticut Food Bank location on Bradley Street.

That news was reported at the most recent Economic Development Commission meeting.

Servpro is headquartered in Gallatin, Tennessee, and has over 1,700 franchisees nationally and Canada.

The franchise system provides localized services as well as large scale disaster recovery.

Its website describes its services as having “the expertise and equipment to quickly restore your property to pre-water damage condition.”

Servpro has many Connecticut locations, including in neighboring towns of New Haven and Branford.

Connecticut Food Bank moved from their East Haven location to a new, larger office space in Wallingford at the end of 2015.

Servpro moving in the town comes on the heels of a couple of other new businesses coming to East Haven that town officials are hoping will boost the town’s tax coffers.

Big Lots will be taking over the old Xpect Discounts site in 2017 and ROCKIN’ JUMP, an inside trampoline park that specializes in kids’ birthday parties and events, will soon be taking over space in the shopping plaza on Route 80 that currently houses Shop Rite and Ocean State Job Lot.
