Strong Odor Prompts Brief Evacuation Of Enfield High School
An odor detected in the building's E wing led to a brief evacuation as firefighters conducted an investigation.

ENFIELD, CT — Enfield High School was briefly evacuated Tuesday morning as firefighters investigated a strong odor in the school's E wing.
The odor was detected around 7:50 a.m., prompting full evacuation of the building. Around 8:10 a.m., firefighters permitted students to enter the C and D wings as an investigation proceeded, Principal Erin Clark said.
Firefighters deemed the building safe for re-entry, and students were allowed back into the A and E wings around 8:49 a.m., Clark said.
