Bike Stolen from Fairfield Center Train Station

A bike was reported stolen Monday from the southbound tracks of the Fairfield Center Metro-North station, police said.

The complainant told police that the bike had been secured, but was stolen sometime between Friday and the time of the report Monday.

The bike is a red and silver 27-in. Giant Cypress 21-speed bicycle, police said. It is valued at $500.

A Lewin Plumbing and Heating customer reported to police Monday that someone charged his account with the store for items he did not purchase.

A boiler ($2,148) and miscellaneous parts ($1036) were charged to his store account and sent to a home (not his) in Bridgeport, police said. He did not place either of the orders. According to employees at the Kings Highway East shop, the instructions for the order were to leave the materials outside the Bridgeport home.

This is under investigation.

A Jefferson Street resident reported to police Monday that his home had been entered sometime between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. that day.

According to the resident, someone entered the home by pushing an air conditioning unit out of a first floor window and climbing through the window, police said. Drawers appeared rummaged through and items were dumped on the floors, but nothing was reported missing.

This is under investigation.
