FAIRFIELD, CT — Firefighters extinguished a car fire late Tuesday night on I-95 in Fairfield. Crews responded to I-95 North between Exits 24 and 25 on the report of a car fire at 11:30 p.m.

“Companies arrived on scene within 6 minutes of dispatch,” officials wrote in a post on Facebook. “Upon arrival firefighters found a late model vehicle on fire. The driver safely exited the vehicle without injuries. Our operations on the Interstate are very dangerous (especially at night).
