Car Fire Extinguished On I-95 In Fairfield: Officials

FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield firefighters extinguished a car fire on I-95 early Monday morning, according to officials.

Crews responded to I-95 around 2 a.m. and found the vehicle “fully involved” in fire, according to officials.

“Engine 2 was special called to stage near the scene should additional water be needed,” officials wrote in a news release. “Units quickly extinguished the fire and turned the scene over to the State Police.”

The driver wasn’t injured in the incident, according to officials.

Officials said the last unit cleared the scene at 2:43 a.m.
