Fairfield Nursing Home Fined for Resident's Injury
A resident sustained a cut that required 11 stitches while being transferred from a wheelchair to a bed.

Cambridge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Fairfield was one of six nursing homes recently fined by the state Department of Public Health.
Kate Farrish of the Connecticut Health I-Team reports Cambridge Health was fined $1,090 on Aug. 4 in connection with a resident who sustained a cut that required 11 stitches after being transferred from a wheelchair to a bed.
A nurse’s aide was cited for failing to use protective legwear when moving the resident, according to Farrish.
