Fairfield Sexual Predator Suspect Faces Verbal Barrage in Court: Report

The plea of a former letter carrier was interrupted by jeers from the audience, which included people waiting to face the judge themselves.

A Superior Court judge had to clear several people from the courtroom while a former Norwalk letter carrier was attempting to plead guilty to charges in connection to a child predator sting operation in Fairfield because the catcalls and lewd suggestions directed at him got too loud, according to the Connecticut Post.

John Dupee, 41, of Norwalk, was one of 10 men arrested in a four-day undercover operation that was carried out by the Fairfield Police Department in conjunction with former “To Catch a Predator” personality Chris Hansen and the State’s Attorney’s Office last October.

Dupee allegedly went to a Fairfield house believing he was about to have sex with a 13-year-old girl.

The Post reports that the majority of the verbal barrage Dupee faced came from people accused of crimes who were waiting to face the judge themselves.
