Former Fairfield Resident Killed in Hang-Gliding Accident

The accident happened in Wawarsing, NY.

A Shelton man and former Fairfield resident was killed in a hang gliding accident on Wawarsing, NY.

According to New York State Police Troop F, Scott Trueblood, 44 was hang gliding near the Route 52 overlook just after 6 p.m. on May 17 when he struck a mountainside.

Trueblood was pronounced dead at the scene. He was a newly licensed pilot at Ellenville Flight School, according to the Fairfield Citizen.
